Alexandra Evans, MA, APCC, CD/PCD(DONA), PMH-C
Welcome! Thank you for considering me for your perinatal support needs!

I was first introduced to doula work by one of my graduate school classmates—a former doula herself—after I inquired about ways to best support members of the perinatal population before becoming a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC). With her encouraging words in mind, I completed my postpartum doula training with Kathrin Auger at Los Angeles Doula and my birth doula training with Ana Paula Markel at Bini Birth. I also completed an abortion companion training with Jacoba Cruz-Rodriguez at Chicago Women's Health Center and an ICEA Childbirth Education training with Dena Marchiony at Childbirth Philly. I am enamored to be a member of this empowering, life-changing profession.
In addition to my work as a doula, I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and practice as an associate psychotherapist at Mills Perinatal Wellness Group in San Carlos, CA. I also have a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) from Postpartum Support International, deepening my specialization in the field. Find my Psychology Today profile here.

Please contact me to discuss my services, rates, and policies in more depth! Kindly note I am not offering birth services or overnight postpartum support as my psychotherapy position does not allow me the time.
